Ex-Smoker or Wanna-Be? Day 6

The beginning of a new week, and I haven’t purchased a pack of cigarettes in 8 days. After a successful weekend, I’m feeling like 1.5 billion dollars. Hell, at least like $40.00, which is what I have saved since quitting smoking. I decided to not do any work for a few days, and man, am I paying the price. I spent like 3 hours sifting through 3 days of email (90% spam that got past the filters).
I really wanted a cig around lunchtime, and again after this delicious meal that Nicole made for me. But, I held on for a few minutes, breathed deep, and bought a bag of sunflower seeds instead. It’s amazing, I haven’t shook up my routine too much, I’m not taking an cessation aids, and I’m able to resist. I’m not exactly a strong willed person either, as my 10 previous quit attempts will show. I really need to watch my eating though, as I am getting even fatter, damn it.
