Quitting Smoking - Day 4
Note: Posted retroactively since I didn’t have a blog on this date.
I kick ass. Here I am, 4 days after I last smoked a cigarette. I have been able to go out to bars, drink plenty, drink coffee, drive around, argue with Nicole, and deal with a few stressful situations…all without smoking a single cigarette. Sure, I’m using straws and gum to curb the oral fixation, but I’m not using any stop smoking products this time around (I’ve “quit” no fewer than 10 times). The lack of nicotine no longer has any effect on my physical being at all, now it’s just a psychological mind game. Amazing. 4 days ago, I wasn’t even planning on quitting smoking. It was the furthest thought from my mind.
I’m starting trying to refer to myself as a non-smoker, sort of a reaffirmation that I never want another cigarette to touch my lips.

well, if you would just do what I ask of you we wouldn’t argue…one thing at a time I guess.
