Snuffing out Smoking - Day 3
Note: Retroactively posted as I did not have a blog set up on this day.
After my drive from hell last night, but then a successful drinking binge, I’m feeling good about quitting smoking. I woke up late today, had a cup of coffee, and slowly motivated. Nicole and I met Nathan for lunch, we ended up at the same place, unknowlingly, that we were drinking at last night. I reached 60 hours (3 days) smoke free tonight. I’m proud that it has been my most successful cold turkey attempt (my last lasted all of 24 hours).
I can feel the nicotine totally losing it’s grip on my body, I haven’t had anymore shutters, shakes, or waves of anger encompass me. I was even tempted - there, on my brother’s coffee table, was a pack of ultralight cigarettes. I just averted my eyes, and went about my business. I think I can, I think I can.
