Surpassing the 3 Week Mark

I’ve heard that as a rule of thumb, it takes a good 3 weeks to form a habit, and just about as long to break it. I really don’t think a habit is “broken” until you no longer have to think about restraining yourself from it. Likewise, breaking doesn’t mean a good solid beating a dead horse. There is no need to try and whip the shit out of it, once something is broken, it’s hard to fix.
That was where I found myself today (3 weeks and one day since I’ve smoked). I thought about smoking rarely, only had one cup of coffee, zero sunflower seeds, and whoopty fucking do, I had to move out of my office and into a new space due to renovations.

Not smoking is just becoming easier and easier. A far cry from my obsessive first couple of days. Hell, I haven’t even updated this blog in the past few, which should be a testament to how much thought I put into it
